Food Recalls for Georgia Week of April 27

Ethnic Foods Inc. is recalling Bhavnagri Mix snack mix because it may contain undeclared peanuts. It was distributed nationwide in retail stores in 19-oz, clear bags marked with lot # 28517, 31917, 33817, 35317, 01118, 02318, 02918, 05118, 07318 on the bottom right corner of the label. The product UPC code is 808550110206.

Labrada Nutrition is recalling “LeanPro8” Protein Powder because it may contain undeclared egg protein. The recalled “LeanPro8” was distributed nationwide in retail stores and through mail orders, the product comes in a 2.2 lb and 5 lb tub.

McCall Farms, Inc. is recalling Happy Harvest Spinach in 13.5 oz cans as a precautionary measure due to the potential presence of peanuts resulting from product mislabeling. This product may cause an allergic reaction in customers who have a peanut allergy. The product was sold in ALDI stores, with lot code A23IX and best-by date is January 2021. The UPC code is 041498131289.

Viable Solutions is recalling “Herbal Salvation” Kratom-containing powder products, because it has the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The lot numbers being recalled can be found on the packaging:
RVS1380182301, RVB1380182201, GVH1380171512, MD13120181601. Products were sold directly to consumers nationwide.

TruPet is recalling Boost Me Mighty Meaty Beef Topper Meal Enhancer because the products have the potential to be contaminated with Salmonella. The product can be identified by lot number: #20190531 13815. Products were distributed in the continental USA via online retailer Chewy.com and TruDog.com through direct delivery.

Multistate outbreak of E. Coli O157 linked to romaine lettuce: As of April 25, Georgia has been included in this outbreak with at least one (1) confirmed case. The GDA is actively working with state and federal partners, including public health and the FDA. The GDA agrees with the CDC’s recommendation, which encourages consumers to ask retailers where their romaine lettuce is sourced from, and not eat or buy romaine lettuce from the Yuma, Arizona, growing region.
