The cities of Columbus, GA and Phenix City, AL will hold their annual Veterans Parade this year on Nov. 10 beginning at 10 a.m.
The parade route at this time (subject to change) is:
The parade begins on the corner of Dillingham Street and Broad Street in Phenix City, going down Broad Street in Phenix City and turning right on 13th Street and going over the 13th Street Bridge into Columbus, turning right down Broadway to 9th Street in Columbus.
Citizens along the parade route will enjoy a wide variety patriotic entertainment. The parade will include military vehicles, convertibles, marching bands and, of course, media vans from area radio stations and TV stations.
The parade is expected to be about an hour and a half of fun. Don’t expect candy though. None of the parade participants will be allowed to throw candy to the public.
