Safe Kids Columbus presents River Savvy Kids on Sunday May 6 from 1 pm to 3 pm.
Safe Kids Columbus is a local organization dedicated to preventing accidental childhood injuries. River Savvy Kids is an educational event to teach kids about river safety – having fun and staying safe during activities on the river.
There will be five safety stations set up to educate parents and children on various safety topics and participants are encouraged to visit each station. Each topic discussed at each safety station is critical to a child’s safety around the river. River Fun Activities are exciting for children but safety must always be top-of-mind.
A child’s safety is always a priority and safety can be taught and practiced beginning at an early age.
River Savvy Kids will be held at Woodruff Park. Attendees must use the entrance to the Riverwalk in front of White Water Express near the Children’s Playground. An Event Information Booth will be at 1000 Bay Ave. Registration is free on-site.
