Columbus, GA, April 9, 2018 – Fun Academy Motion Pictures, based in Columbus, has released their next movie, Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero.
The animated motion picture tells the incredible true story of America’s most decorated dog. After being rescued off the streets by a young soldier on the eve of World War I, Stubby is given a home, a family, and the chance to embark on the adventure that would define a century.
For valorous actions above and beyond his small stature, Stubby is still recognized as the most decorated dog in history and the first dog promoted to the rank of Sergeant in the U.S. Army, showing the world that the greatest heroes can come from the unlikeliest of places.
An all-star cast provides the voices in the movie. Sgt. Stubby stars Logan Lerman (Fury, The Perks of Being a Wallflower, Percy Jackson & The Olympians), Helena Bonham Carter (the upcoming Ocean’s 8, Harry Potter films, The King’s Speech, Sweeney Todd), Gérard Depardieu (Life of Pi, Cyrano De Bergerac, The Man in the Iron Mask, Green Card) and featuring an original score by Patrick Doyle (Brave, Thor, Cinderella, Harry Potter & the Goblet of Fire).
Sgt. Stubby: An American Hero shows a “dog’s eye view” of history…it’s a heartwarming tail for the entire family! Coming to theaters this Friday, April 13.
