Great Wolf Lodge Opens May 24 in Lagrange

Lagrange, GA, May 9, 2018 – Plans are currently well underway for Great Wolf Lodge Georgia’s grand opening on May 24 in LaGrange, GA.

While the general public will have to wait a few more weeks, over 100 lucky military families will be getting a sneak peek of what’s in store during the indoor water park resort’s soft opening, which coincides with Military Appreciation Month.

Great Wolf Lodge has extended a complimentary invitation for families stationed at Fort Benning to be among the first to stay at the brand new location from May 9 – 13.  Available rooms filled up almost immediately.

Great Wolf Lodge Georgia is thrilled to host these local military families, and offer an ongoing “Howling Heroes” discount for service men and women as a small token of appreciation for the sacrifices they make for our country: https://www.greatwolf.com/heroes

General Manager Keith Furnas said, “Great Wolf Lodge’s purpose is to bring joy to families. We hope this sneak preview of Great Wolf Georgia not only provides joy to the families at Fort Benning, but also expresses the gratitude we have for their service.”

Guests from Fort Benning will have the opportunity to experience many of Great Wolf Lodge’s amenities including:

  • The nearly 100,000-square-foot indoor waterpark, which includes a multi-level, indoor interactive water fort treehouse, a relaxing lazy river, a huge wave pool, several zero-depth entry pools and kids water play areas
  • Two thrilling slides that are new not only to Great Wolf Lodge but also new to North America:
    • The Triple Thunder is a group raft ride which combines the weightlessness of sloshing up and down funnel walls and being hurled at maximum speeds inside two swirling saucers.
    • The Rapid Racer is a two-person tube racing slide with drops, chutes, curves and rally points where guests can see their competition as they both careen down this fun water attraction.
  • The 40,000-square-foot Great Wolf Adventure Park, a full-service family entertainment center featuring the Howlers Peak Ropes Course®, Howl In One™ Miniature Golf Course, Ten Paw Alley™ family bowling, Northern Lights™ Arcade, and Rustic Ridge, a multi-story rock wall.
  • Multiple dining options including Barnwood, Great Wolf Lodge’s farm-to-fork eatery, whose menu is sourced from within a 100-mile radius of the resort, ensuring freshness and an ever-changing array of dishes based on seasonality.
  • MagiQuest, Great Wolf Lodge’s exclusive live-action adventure game in which the guests scour the resort using magic wands to uncover relics and runes needed to defeat dragons and goblins.

Great Wolf Lodge is honored to pay tribute to the local military families during the soft opening, and looks forward to welcoming all guests on May 24.
